Mäktigt och majestätiskt , omslutet av Mälarens vatten, höjer sig tornen på Gripsholms slott över småstaden Mariefred. Kung Gustav Vasa lät bygga slottet på 1500-talet.
Grandiose and magnificent, the tower of Gripsholm castle emerge from the sea ,over the little picturesque town Mariefred / Sweden. The castle was built in the sixteent century by the King Gustav Vasa.

Looks like a fairy tale castle--lovely! Don't think I've ever seen a castle right on the water like that, they're usually high up for protection, aren't they? Sky is lovely too.
Nice photo. Looks pretty cold there
This almost looks like a scene in a fairytale! Beautiful magic in this photo!
Such a lovely old castle right in the water. Full of history too I expect.
